Clipperton, a ring of French coral islands lost in the middle of the Pacific, is the subject of an unprecedented scientific expedition between December 2004 and April 2005. A team of 40 researchers, directed by the doctor and explorer, Jean-Louis Etienne, accompanied by his wife and their two young sons spend 4 months trying to draw up an inventory of the island's biodiversity.
