1980: Tony Sacchi, a young unemployed man from the Ardennes hijacks a school bus heading for Brussels with the intention of proclaiming his disillusionment with the world on national television. The hostage-taker is overpowered at the television station and the fifteen children are freed unharmed. 2005: Daniel Piron, a television journalist, decides to trace all of the protagonists from this hostage-taking incident for an ambitious film that will breathe new life into his stagnating career. During this new bus trip, Sacchi no longer comes across as the fiery revolutionary of yesteryear and the children, now in their forties, are conspicuous for their apathy. The shock of meeting again does not materialise. The film goes into a spin. To save his skin, Piron begins to manipulate reality. He becomes the new hostage-taker...
